I think the nets need a major trade for someone, so as long as they keep kidd. Look I think we have to be honest and realize there's no way we can win a championship with this team this year or next year or the year after that. And don't start with the "we have to believe" thing because the results are not on that side. There's no doubt in my mind that Boston or Detroit can destroy the Nets pretty much any time they want to. We have to do something to seriously contend because that's what it's all about, seriously contending. As good as some of the players are, we need someone who can really get the Nets over the hump. Trade anyone, mortgage the Nets' future, it doesn't matter. Look at Boston, they're pretty much sacrificing their future for a very real chance to contend. And look what they got for it, the best record in the NBA. It doesn't matter what you do as long as you get to seriously contend, because that's what every team plays for right?Well then you're in luck because one of the more likely trade parters if it happens is Dallas. Be prepared to give up Josh Howard thoughIt's not a one on one deal. Of course I'm saying that the main piece will be Howard. There are gonna be others included but we're not really certain who

Thought you'd never ask! I'm from Canada, so of course I saw VC go from a 15 year contract to a "I wanna go somewhere else" whining rant. If NJ can unload him now and get something for him, it will save all kinds of embarrassing dramatics later on when Vince decides that his feelings are hurt!

It is sad that the Nets just cannot put things together. Who can they get at this point in time? Trading Carter? Jefferson? or even Kidd? Seriously, I don't mind getting rid of Carter but who can we get with him? Not many interested parties and will not get a Championship team. They need to build the inside. Someone like Dwight Howard, or Carlos Boozer type player. Too bad they will not be able to.I am a huge Kidd fan and certainly Kidd will not be the future of the Nets. He is getting old and the only teams will get him are those who already have great players and will only trade away someone minor. This is too hard for the Nets. I hope to see a change too.

I think I heard that Kidd is thinking about a trade to the Cavs. But I'm not really a Nets fan. My friend is (because he is from New Jersey) but me I'm a die-hard loving DALLAS MAVERICKS FAN!!!!!!!! GO DIRK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The nets problem has been an always will be that they are soft in the middle and at power forward. Even when you had Kenyon he couldn't defend the post. Kristic is okay but he spends to much time on the perimeter. Perimeter teams do not do well in the post season, bottom line you need a post presence.
