Iam attending college in Wisconsin in 7 months, I have owned this vehicle for about a year, would it be more responsible to trade it in, or keeping it? I'm thinking a Tahoe.. if the conclusion is trading the vehicle in.. but I would like to know which decision is more valuable to my future.. and my credit..hahathanks so much!

well if you trade your car in and get a new car.. will you be able to make the payments and go to school at the same time?? not to mention they don't give you that much for trading a car in..i'd just keep my car until i graduate.. that way you wouldn't have to worry about making payments or be too pressured to work or make money and you can concentrate more on your schoolwork..i tried working and classes at the same time.. it worked out well in high school, but not so much at UT Austin for me..

Keep your car...starting the trade in game while in college is scary enough when you have a real job that is paying you.If you have a trade in and you think that you are paying too much, it is probably because you have an unrealistic expectation of what your old car is actually worth and so in order to keep their dear customer happy, they are letting you think that it is worth that much but actually rolling their loss into the price of the new car.For example, if your car is worth $2,000 to them and they know they can sell it for $4,000 but you insist that you need $3,000 for your car, they will tack the extra grand on the new car.It really is that simple and just being realistic about the value of your trade in or, even better, selling it yourself so you get higher than wholesale, can save you quite a chunk of change. That said, a Tahoe is expensive to run, will cost you more in payments and you are in college so get that finished before you start trying to drive something that is just a status symbol you cannot afford.

i dont see any reason to trade in a car that you only had for a year, unless of course your bank acount is spilling over with cash and or mom and pop is popping for that tahoe. keep the car , it makes sense unless its falling apart, if its not in bad shape and needs a lil work think about what its going to take to get in good road worthy shape verse's taking on some very large payments on a tahoe thats going guzzle alot of gas. good luck

Keep your car until you graduate, get a job, THEN buy the car of your dreams...
