My local source doesn't seem to be carrying it this year, and I have a relative that I usually give maple sugar candy to in his stocking for Christmas. Anyone know where I can get some in the Seattle area? Unfortunately, driving to Canada isn't an option at this point....

Check with your state forestry service about the location of significant stands of maple trees. Goggle "maple syrup". Down here in the south, we buy it in grocery stores. Did you know that it takes 40-50 gallons of maple sap to make one gallon of syrup?

It wouldn't be available in Western Canada either possibly as it is all done on the East Coast. Look at Costco or Sam's Club, even Walmart & Target, sometimes they have things like that.
