I am trading in my 996 carrera coupe and I am going to get one of the following two cars. Both are 2006 certified and both have <8000 miles.The first option is a cayman s for $50k. The second option is a carrera s cabrio for $73k. They are really two very different cars. I am really struggling with the decision. Which would you choose and why?

I'd go with the CaymanI love 911s, but I'm not fan of soft tops.

get the carrera s because they are better looking

Get a carrera, but NOT the cabrio.Cutting the roof off really spoils the performance in cars.Suspension is mushier, top speed is limited, aerodynamics are messed up, trunk space is non existent... get the hard top.

I had a S Cab and I loved it. I traded it in for a Bentley and regret it to this day.

Without a moment of hesitation go for the Carrera S.you wouldn't wanna by the Cayman cuz it's got no limited slip Def.

I would choose the Cayman S because it is my favorite car. It has excellent handling so it can keep up with the 911 on a track. It also gets 2mpg better. It also has more cargo room.But the 911 has back seats and it is faster in a straight line.

i would take the Cayman S, it is not as fast as the Carrera S and not a convertable but its sexier and stylish. Then spend the extra money on adding unique parts to the car like a carbon fibre trim or tune it from TechArt to make it truely unique. Best of Luck!
