my brother is the executor of our fathers will and is telling me he has lost $750,000.00 tradeing in stocks and options the paperwork from the brokerage firm he trades from makes no sense to me and he knows this and i dont feel comfortable going to someone in person because i feel stupid for not knowing what im talking about.there just seems to be some funny buisness with the numbers of shares being bought and sold like short sells, wash adj,and exercise stock settle.i would greatly appreciate any help what so ever without being a burden to anyone, thank you in advance .also im wondering if it seems strange to lose 750,000.00 in a two month period.

It all is a bit odd. You and your brother are both beneficiaries under your father's will and your brother is sole executor. I know nothing about this but it seems strange that yor brother can gamble with your share. I would tell him you want this to stop until you have a better grasp of it-that may entail hireing an accountant or lawyer.

its easy, but before that decide on what you plan to do incase he is cheating... every transaction done through stock exchange has a unique id, with clearing member(broker) and investor's name. so find out the concern numbers and verify then thru stock exchange website. and then you can calculate the profit/loss, it will be a simple matter of mathematics.ps- and there is nothinn strange abt losing $750000 in two months, you can lose it in one single trading session and vice versa

The best case scenario is your brother is a complete idiot and should not be trading your money. You need an estate attorney to help you separate your funds immediately. Trading options is especially risky. Chances are he's going to try to chase his losses and you'll have nothing left.
