From Yahoo NewsAmerica's economy risks the mother of all meltdowns "I would tell audiences that we were facing not a bubble but a froth - lots of small, local bubbles that never grew to a scale that could threaten the health of the overall economy." Alan Greenspan, The Age of Turbulence. Revelation 13: Will there be an Economic Recession, Depression, or Stock Market Crash in 2008 - 2010John sees fierce-looking beasts which represent degenerate earthly kingdoms controlled by Satan—The devil works miracles and deceives menThe author of Revelation seems to have regarded the worsening of conditions for Christians in the Roman Empire under Domitian as signifying that this catastrophic period had begun. Apparently, he wrote chiefly to encourage the church to endure this terrifying final crisis in the confident expectation of an imminent eternally just age.
Please study Revelation with the commentary by Metzgar, "Breaking the Code." Its not to be taken literally. It addressed issues in the late first century.,

Revelation talks about a number of time periods, including time to come. There are still outstanding prophesies and turbulence and meltdown is part of that. You'll find that meltdown and turbulence are precursors to the introduction of one individual who will bring peace and stability to the whole world. This is what new age thinking is driving towards, where there would be one world fiances, one world government, and ultimately one world religion all serving the one who brought peace and stability, otherwise know as the AC

I believe we are near the time when the political leader, the antichrist, will make his appearance (Rev. 13:1). I absolutely agree with Mr. Greenspan's comments - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the stock market is very volatile these days, and I believe there is much going on "behind the scenes" to bring our country to its knees economically. These are very perilous times we are living in! God bless you!!!
