Please study Revelation with the commentary by Metzgar, "Breaking the Code." Its not to be taken literally. It addressed issues in the late first century.,

Revelation talks about a number of time periods, including time to come. There are still outstanding prophesies and turbulence and meltdown is part of that. You'll find that meltdown and turbulence are precursors to the introduction of one individual who will bring peace and stability to the whole world. I believe we are near the time when the political leader, the antichrist, will make his appearance (Rev. 13:1). I absolutely agree with Mr. Greenspan's comments - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the stock market is very volatile these days, and I believe there is much going on "behind the scenes" to bring our country to its knees economically.
