I bought GOOG for $520. Should I sell? or will it go up soon?

I would hold.... even if the Yahoo/Microsoft thing happens, Google still has over 60% of the Internet advertising market locked up in a strangle hold that will never (not soon anyway) be released.

no matter how you slice it, the recent movement equals real trouble for google... The bottom line is how much are you willing to lose before giving up on an upturn? on the bright side, if it does turn around, you can probably get out higher than $520can you handle it if GOOG drops to $460 before recovering, then hang in there... Could you handle it if GOOG drops below $440 before recovering? then hang in there....If those numbers sound extremely spooky to you, then get out now!

it will go up 1000 in the next 5yrs-im serious! Remember this blog in 2013 or so and google will have been over 1000

The low point on the stock this year should come soon because volume is relatively high (over 12 million shares the last 3 days) and that tells me a trend reversal may happen.However what is troubling is that the stock price has broken out of the supporting trend line. You should have noticed this before buying, if a stock is trending below support level, do NOT buy! This is usually very bad news especially for a growth tech stock. So, what should you do? Depends on your tolerance for pain. If you can stomach another $100 decline which could happen if something like recession worries hits again, then sell now. But like I say a reversal may be pending because it is lower on relatively high volume, although the buying interest is waning. A glance at the options chain might give you the confidence to hold this till the next quarterly earnings announcement, because call volume is still better than put vol.
