The girl has won prizes and starred in shows in school. She is from north Africa. She has now been successful in getting into a great film school in south america. Its a two year course and starts in early february. We need to raise 15000 dollars to cover the cost of this and we have only a month to do it in. I am at my wits end on how we can raise such a sum in such a short time. Please let me have your ideas. Rosa's education and future depends on us coming up with something that works in time. Many thanks. I appreciate your input into this problem.

Have a yard/bake/craft sale. People can bring things that baked, don't want (but clean!) or made. Basically anything. If you get a lot of people to do it, you can probably raise a ton of money. And you should post ads on things like craigslist, my mom sometimes goes through there and if she sees a cause that seems worthy she donates a little money.Good luck, you truly are a good person and I hope Rosa suceeds.

heres some choices1. goto the bank and ask for a loan2. Gamble....................a lot3. Prostitution4. get into marketing and make a useless product and convince that evryone needs one and cant live a day without it, like a "portable straw", drinking made easy, goto a place and has no straws, WELL just unfold it and VOILA.5. ask 15000 people for a dollar ( thats about 500 people a day, 20 people every hour)6. start a new religion and quickly learn some copperfield tricks ( STEP RIGHT UP!!! "anyone have a spare $15000 dollars and i'll make it disappear")7. Steal it8. Sell drugs, real quick9. sell your house, if you dont have one goto the other end of town and sell someone elses.10. learn some forgery, and fake a whole heap of signatures on various items like, jimi hendrix guitar, Jim Morrison's self autographed $5 bill he used to snort his last line of coke.

Since you have such a short time to fundraise, you probably want to assemble a list of potential major donors - people with an interest in film and Africa who may have a natural affinity for your cause. You also might want to contact an organization or donor that supports arts in Africa. I did a few minutes of research online and here are some possibilities:-Batonga Foundation - http://www.looktothestars.org/charity/681-batonga-foundation -Reach out to students at a major film school to sponsor her-www.filmyourissue.com may also be a good source of ideas
