What's NYR2008, it's a short form I use every year, I've done my NYR2005, NYR2006, NYR2007, so what's stopping me for doing my NYR2008 right? My NYR2008 this year is to seriously (ren zhen) love my family, make friends, exercise, swim, lose weight, play, sing, chase my dreams, study, take exams, work, go church, earn money, save money and embrace the future.I managed to exercise regularly in 2007 like swimming at least once a week and training for marathons. But I skipped church for almost a year, not a good resolution to make.I do NYRs every year, what about you? How serious are you about your new year resolutions? When I was searching for questions related to this topic, I saw a lot of people who do not believe in making resolutions because they know thay are going to break it one way or another. The No.1 Resolution every year was to lose weight and exercise more. A lot of people end up not keeping to it cos it really requires discipline. What's your NYR2008?

1. Use computers less.2. Spend 20 minutes per month communicating with my representatives about important issues.3. Cut my electricity use.
Give more time to prayer and study of Scripture...and to live fully for Jesus Christ....

I really like your ideas! Mine are similar. I want to be more involved in groups that I joined, like on that walks/runs around Lake Merritt every so often. Join my vegan group at a potluck. That is in addition to the ones that you mentioned! I could see that you are a good person by what you wrote yesterday too! I went to the Y during the summer. I add weightlifting again, now I want to learn the free weight method. I am serious, as I want to improve my life and assess where I have been, what I have done, and what I still need/want to do!
