So I'm supposed to get a kid a wii for xhristmas. I just found out that they're this year's hot toy. Best Buy has them out-of-stock for $250. Amazon is charging over $77. I never did this before; I just wait until the supply meets the demand. Is there some secret trick all you shoppers know to avoid paying double price for a trendy object?Edit: Amazon charges over $700

There is no trick. It's all luck at this point. I found one on December 21st last year at a Toys R Us. It was all over the web that they were getting shipments on the 22nd, but they weren't. You are at the mercy of blind luck. There will once again be many kids wanting but not getting a Wii this year!
