View Full Version : Should any teams be interested in David Wells? crimedog738 04-23-2006, 06:15 PM Thursday the Padres plan to release him. Durango 04-25-2006, 10:02 AM no he needs to retire days_o_work 04-27-2006, 01:50 AM I was at the game on Monday in St. Louis, when he got completely shellacked by one of the most anemic lineups in the National League. I wouldn't pick up his contract if it cost me breakfast. CharlieMike5291 04-28-2006, 05:38 PM No the guy is a walking injury, i can't believe his knees can even hold his weight. nocturne1837 04-30-2006, 09:26 AM I wouldn't be surprised if someone takes a chance on him, but if he couldn't help out a team that is in the pennant race like the Padres, I don't get how he would help anyone else. You would have to think the only place he would go to is team that is still contending. Buddha-rama 05-02-2006, 01:13 AM Did you see what happened to him in Boston, he should retire, he had a good career, but those old knees can only hold up to so many pounds, and I think they reached their limit a LONG time ago. TLIUALL 05-03-2006, 05:01 PM Maybe he will return back to the Tigers, their bull pen is struggling so he will fit right in. Lou 05-05-2006, 08:49 AM I think that he is showing this year that he is done, he has had a pretty good career and should hang it up before he embarrasses himself totally. basketbalallan 05-07-2006, 12:37 AM I think that the high diving belly-flopping team might be interested. He would make a big belly flop splash!. Sid 05-08-2006, 04:24 PM No he has nothing left in the tank. He's been like that for the past few years and got by on guile alone. RobertK 05-10-2006, 08:12 AM he's a washed up ball player in the regular season but he's clutch in the post season wit a record of 10-5so yeaid sign him asap Mrbill 05-12-2006, 12:00 AM I don't think anyone would want him. I think he's too old and is ready to retire. A team who needs pitching would get him like, the Phillies or Cardnials who need experience, and too stay in the Postseason race. zyberianwarrior6245 05-13-2006, 03:48 PM hell yah post seanson is awsome so he will b wecomed in bosten da |
