I am pretty familiar with ITUNES but I need some help. I have recently downloaded around 50 or so songs. I DID NOT use ITUNES music store, but the program I used did download to my ITUNES music folder which I thought would allow my ITUNES to recognize that I have new music. Unfortunately ITUNES did not recognize that I have new music. Now I don't remember exactly which songs I downloaded anymore and I want to see if there is someway that ITUNES can automatically scan my entire computer and add any new songs onto my ITUNES so I don't have to go through this manually. I believe ITUNES does this when you first load it onto your computer but I haven't seen that option since. Thanks in advance!

There are two things that you can do:1.I have never personally had to use this method but it should work. If it doesn't just use Method 2 and that will work for sure.>Open iTunes.>Click "Advanced" in the upper left hand corner.>Select "Consolidate Library.">This should add all music (from anywhere on your computer) to iTunes that is not currently in it.2.>Locate the source files (yellow folders) on your hard drive. If you use Windows it is probably in "Start> My Music> iTunes> iTunes Music.>Right click the row that says "Artist, Album, etc.">Scroll down and select "Date Imported." You may have to scroll down to "More..." to access this option.>Now the songs are listed by order of date. Highlight all of the songs that were most recently added to your computer.>Drag and drop them into iTunes.>Done.
